This project is an international collaboration. It will offer novel opportunities for research, and will provide an international service of stellar spectra. While it is under development, there is still opportunity for feedback.

Your input is of great importance to the organizers in the following ways:

• Discuss the project with your local observatory or institute
• Raise the matter where there are plate stores
• Tell us about a plate store with which you are familiar
• Send us information regarding plate-store catalogues
• Arrange for letters to be sent expressing willingness to contribute plates to the Database
• Suggest sources of funding, especially for core support
• Let us know of any problems that are voiced
